PSA Peugeot improves powertrain manufacturing efficiency with Dassault DELMIA
French automobile manufacturer PSA Peugeot Citroen has improved its powertrain digital manufacturing efficiency by deploying Dassault Systemes DELMIA in its powertrain division.
The new DELMIA supports assembly simulation, painting, factory layout, stamping and powertrain while PSA works with the similar tools and methodologies in its departments.
The solution has enabled PSA to enhance powertrain development times, reduce development and operating costs, optimize resources and investments, while improving quality.
PSA Peugeot Citroen digital engineering and metrology powertrain Emmanuel Chamouton said thanks to years of close and successful cooperation between PSA and Dassault Systemes in digital manufacturing, DELMIA now fully supports most of the company's manufacturing processes.
"Just nine months after implementation, we have already seen the benefits," Chamouton said.
"The adoption of DELMIA in our powertrain division gives us a flexible and powerful solution, company-wide, that provides us with considerable advantages."
