Renault to equip Duster SUV with new petrol engine and automatic transmission

French automaker Renault will power the Duster SUV with a new petrol engine as well as a new automatic transmission.

According to the company, the SUV will be powered by a new 2.0litre four-cylinder 16 valve petrol engine, which will deliver a total output of 135hp and enable a peak torque of 195nm, mated to a new automatic transmission.

Renault said that the Duster SUV will only be offered in this configuration in Russia and is currently testing the vehicle, whether to launch it in Europe and other markets.

In Romania, the new 2.0 liter engine and automatic transmission will be sold as the Dacia Duster.


According to inautonews.com, Duster SUV will be launched in UK by early 2013.
